Eastern & Oriental Hotel Penang had its major refurbishment done in 2001and is now fully owned and managed by Eastern & Oriental Group Berhad. Event Venue

Eastern & Oriental Hotel Penang presents a wide variety of amazing options for most important events. At the Heritage Wing, the Grand Ballroom comfortably seats 400, complete with a full stage, royal boxes and gallery. There are also six function suites that can accommodate groups of 15 to 180 people. At the Victory Annexe, there is the 300-seating capacity Macalister Ballroom and five function suites that can be tailored to accommodate between 20 to 600 people. The outdoor garden area by the sea is perfect for a garden wedding ceremony and it can seat up to 100 persons. It definitely carries good element of romance and laidback feel with the gentle sea breeze and view of the sea on one side and the beautiful Colonial building on the other side. The grand ballroom is a two-storey super grand event space with beautiful, elaborate and glamorous chandeliers and setting. Banquet seating arrangement can also be set up upstairs. Basically, this lovely event venue can be customized and decorated beautifully to cater to every different event need.

Eastern & Oriental Hotel Penang is a unique event space that provides plenty of indoor and outdoor event space options and can accommodate up to 600 pax in the biggest space ñ the Grand Ballroom. Other venues within the vicinity can take anything from 15 to 300 pax. This event space is suitable for hosting a wedding, garden wedding, birthday party, ROM, anniversary, pre-wedding photo shoot, meeting, seminar, workshop, team building, conference, fashion show, private and corporate function of any kind. Wedding and meeting packages are available.

Eastern & Oriental Hotel Penang stands at the intersection of Farquhar Street and Penang Road and is 20km from Penang International Airport and within walking distance from the food havens, shopping complexes and entertainment outlets of downtown George Town. Parking is available in the Hotel and can hold up to 200 vehicles at any one time.
