Spitalfields Gastrobar

Spitalfields in London is an historic area. It traces its roots all the way back to Roman times. The Old Spitalfields Market has been an iconic feature of London’s East End for over 130 years and with it redevelopment in 2005, it was re-developed into a mall bringing a diverse range of independent and eclectic retailers and restaurants to the area. Spitalfields Gastrobar is a very much inspired by the development in London. It features an industrial warehouse theme with red brick walls and glass windows that reach up to the high ceilings. At some other sections of Spitalfields Gastrobar, it even looks like a London tube station.

Cuisine

The cuisine here is very clearly non-halal. Spitalfields Gastrobar serves a wide range of pork dishes like Jack’s Ribs, English Roast Pork Roulade, Pork Knuckles (uhh, how did the Germans get in here?). On weekends, it turns into a Brunch & Hi Teas destination as well, clearly signalling it’s English heritage. Apart from that they also have pizzas.

Location

Spitalfields Gastrobar is located in the re-incarnation of Damansara Jaya’s favourite mall, Atria. Once one of PJ’s prime commercial areas and then left behind by new developments, it has been restored to its place of glory in the hearts of PeeJayans.
While there is a lot of parking available at Atria, it does get very crowded during the weekends.
