Since its opening on 29 July, Chocha Foodstore has been known to be among the 3 hidden gems, alongside PS150 and Merchant Lane, that has brought about the revival of KL’s Chinatown. The team behind this event space have brought about Chocha Foodstore with their interest in food, culinary arts, and creative design. The Hakka meaning behind Chocha means “sit and drink” and it is represented through their rustic and casual environment. Aside from the environment, the dishes offered also includes an Asian twist to it. This includes the Malaysian Chinese Pan Mee served as Duck Aglio Olio as well as the Duck Rice.

Event Venue

Chocha Foodstore has its event space partly open allowing natural light to enter the restaurant. The casual environment is furnished with brown wooden furniture and old walls that has a feel of the old Chinese houses. Chocha Foodstore is becoming an attraction to young adults looking for a place to chill and to get some insta-worthy shots. Their floating stairs at the entrance serves as a good backdrop for many social media “OOTD” shots. Overall, this rustic and beautiful environment serves as a nostalgic yet innovative event space for both adults and youngsters.

Chocha Foodstore is a pleasant and comfortable event space with both indoor and outdoor seating. This event space is suitable for hosting a surprise party, birthday party, anniversary date, get-together with family & friends, as well as corporate events for up to 60 pax.

Location

Chocha Foodstore is discretely located where the former Mah Lian Hotel once was in Chinatown, KL. This event space is situated opposite Four Points by Sheraton.
