Cloud 47 Rooftop Bar, Bangkok

Location

The Cloud 47 Rooftop Bar was opened in June 2013, making it one of the newest rooftop bars in Bangkok and also Bangkok’s biggest. You might ask why does Bangkok need another rooftop bar, but this is one with a difference. For one thing, the prices are not astronomical but are relatively affordable. The Cloud 47 Rooftop Bar is located in at the United Centre office building in the centre of Silom Road. This means easy access with BTS stations and expressway exits at Silom Road.

Capacity

At 47 floors above Silom, the Cloud 47 Rooftop Bar is surprisingly casual. You can go in with slippers and even shorts. The event venue offers seating for 450 people. So imagine a casual laid back beach party in the sky. How about that for an event with a difference? There is a stage within the bar that could be used for performances. In fact a live band comes on every night at 10 pm.

Food & Drinks

Despite it’s laid back demeanour, the Cloud 47 Rooftop Bar has pretty impressive credentials when it comes to wines. The “Uncorked” section of the bar has a very impressive list of 500 wine labels to choose from. While this may sound gimmicky but the wine is picked up from the two storey wine cellar by a flying angel! Catch the aerial acrobatics as she swoops through the air to pick up the wine bottle of your choice. Their menu is Asian Fusion, Burgers, Diners, Italian, Seafood, Steakhouses, Thai and Vegetarian giving diners a wide choice of casual dining options.
