Cureé Cafe Imbi

Cureé can be pronounced as “Ka-Ray”, which means curry in Japanese. As the name of the cafe suggests, Cureé Cafe Imbi serves Japanese Curry. Their specialty is Hokkaido Style soup curry, which is slightly different than the typical thicker Japanese curry. It’s a lightly curry flavoured soup with lots and chunks of vegetables, paired with Japanese Rice grown in Miyagi prefecture. The recipe was originally from Sapporo when the founder of Cureé Cafe Imbi couch-surfed at a local’s place. Then it was further developed and slightly Malaysianised. Natto is also one of the favorites in the menu. Fermented soy bean served with rice, some pickled mushroom and half boiled egg, a truly homie Japanese breakfast.

Event Venue

Directly behind Berjaya Time Square, Cureé Cafe Imdi is housed in a pre-war heritage building located in the heart of the city. They have tried to preserve the original feel of this heritage building, while at the same time adding some quirky interior design and artwork. The minimalist design plus the little forest inside the cafe, brings a zen-like calm to this space.

Location

Cureé Cafe Imbi is located right behind of Berjaya Time Square shopping centre. This makes it easily accessible via Monorail, MRT and also public bus. One dedicated parking is available for organiser, while the guests can park their cars at Berjaya Time Square’s carpark or the open carpark nearby.
