Lanun’s Cafe

Lanun’s Cafe is a relatively new cafe that opened in May 2016. As “Lanun” means pirate in the Malay language, the cafe has a pirate theme with staff dressed in pirate costume. Props such as pirate hats, swords and guns are provided to customers for photo ops. The cafe serves western cuisine such as chicken chop, burgers and sandwiches, as well as local rice and noodle dishes.

Event Space

With a pirate mannequin standing guard near its front door and treasure chests that open up to become tables, Lanun’s Cafe is a unique event space that resembles a pirate’s lair. There is even a captain’s wheel at the back entrance facing the street behind. The interior is made up of two sections – the smaller section has brown and blue walls with red tablecloths and can seat up to 30 pax; while the bigger section has brick walls, dark wooden furniture and can seat up to 70 pax. Besides the usual tables and chairs, there are benches and comfortable couches indoor. Projector, screen and karaoke set are available if required.

Events

Lanun’s Cafe is a casual, fun and bright event space with indoor and outdoor seating. This unique event space is suitable for hosting pirate-themed parties whether it is for a birthday, anniversary, engagement, reunion, farewell or corporate event. It is also great for get-together with family & friends. Lanun’s Cafe can accommodate up to 100 pax indoors and 16 pax outdoors.

Location

Lanun’s cafe is located at Taman Krubong Utama in Melaka. It is on the ground floor of a two-storey shop lot. Street parking is available in front of the shop lots.
