Mingle KL Hostel

The owners of Mingle KL have restored and refurbished a 100 year old colonial era shophouse into a cafe, hostel and rooftop event space. Mingle KL was once the home of a prominent Chinese businessman in the early 1900s and the ground floor was where he and his friends would mingle and chat. Mingle KL offers accommodation facilities with shared rooms and private rooms for up to 63 pax.

Event Space

The event space at Mingle KL’s cafe, Leaf & Co, retains all the charm that are making old shophouses so popular now. Weathered walls that would have been privy to many a conversation through its more than 100 years of existence. There’s a lovely courtyard within the cafe which has been kept to allow a generous amount of light into the main event space. The side walk has also been converted into a cool al-fresco dining area. They also have a rooftop space at the top that could take up to 30 pax.

Events

Mingle KL can be booked entirely for a variety of events. You can host a gathering of old friends (how more appropriate than an old space) and have a sleepover. Or you could have an after wedding party. Or do a marriage proposal at the rooftop. Or just throw a birthday where you want to gather your friends. Or a team building event where you need to bring in your whole team and put them in very close quarters. The event space below can take up to 80 pax. Which really is perfect for gatherings as you are bound to have friends who are unable to stay.

Yeah you can “pau” all of the event space for your event. What says party like a boss like closing the whole space.

Location

Mingle KL is blessed with one of the better locations on Jalan Sultan. Located at the corner of Jalan Hang Jebat (formerly Davidson Road) and Jalan Sultan, there are several parking lots just about 100 metres away from the building. Mingle KL is also only a 3 minute walk from the Pasar Seni LRT Station.
