Launched in October 2017, Nineteen 61 Cafe Kuantan is a promising new cafe that strives to be unique in the world of hipster cafes. Other than having regular caffeinated and non-caffeinated drinks, this event space also has matcha affogato. They have a comprehensive food menu, with desserts, pasta, burgers, breakfast foods, and savoury snacks. Their specialties include exotic foods such as soft-shell crab burger with mango salsa, and light and soft soufflé pancakes which were even featured in an issue of the Sin Chew Daily.

With its minimal use of colours, Nineteen 61 Cafe Kuantan exudes hipster vibes from every surface. The dark colours are complemented by good lighting, making this event space perfect for photo-taking, whether its inside or outside the cafe. While the majority of seats are downstairs, Nineteen 61 Cafe Kuantan has also prepared a second floor which is a smoking zone. This event space looks rather small from the outside, but don’t let the cover fool you – it’s surprisingly spacious and open.

You could hold a birthday party, tea party, baby shower, meet-up, gathering, or proposal at Nineteen 61 Cafe Kuantan. Depending on the seating arrangement, this event space can handle events of up to 60 pax.

Location

Nineteen 61 Cafe Kuantan is just a 10-minute drive away from the famous Teluk Cempedak and Mini Zoo Taman Teruntum. It is located along a row of shop lots, and while the sign ìNineteen 61î may be slightly hard to spot, this event space is easily recognisable by its dark exterior. Street parking is available around this area, but you can always get a cab using a ride hailing service.
