Take a Break VIP Lounge opened its door back in 2011, before the boutique cafe trend picked up in Ipoh. This lovely little unpretentious event space is a family mend and run cafe that is passionate to give customers VIP treatment through their friendly service and wholesome home-cooked food like pastas, salads, steaks, noodles, desserts and beverages. Andrea is the young lady responsible of running this business. All the items from the robust menu are created by her mother, Anna Ong, who is the soul behind Take a Break VIP Lounge. This event space is full of character and family values. The signature dish is undoubtedly the ONE laksa ñ a milky white bowl of laksa noodle made with secret recipe broth. Take a Break VIP Lounge also serves healthy and irresistible frosty smoothies and offers tourism services and sell thoughtfully selected souvenirs.

Event Venue

From the outside, Take a Break VIP Lounge looks like an old dodgy pub and lounge, but do not get deceived from the outer look. As you step inside, it resembles a cosy, homely, fancy air-conditioned kopitiam that will surely make you feel right at home. This quirky event space is packed with travel theme with posters and paintings of iconic places around the world being displayed all over the room, from New York, Venice, San Francisco, Paris to Bangkok, South Korea and Vietnam. Antique furniture and collections from around the world are also seen as part of the decorations. The seating arrangement is simple with plain wooden tables and chairs filling up the room. There is also live band and PA system installed at the corner. As Take a Break VIP Lounge serves a prominent numbers of families, it is a non-smoking event space.

Events

Take a Break VIP Lounge is suitable for hosting an intimate birthday party, alumni party, baby shower, baby full moon, reunion, tea party, bridal shower, anniversary, and gathering with family and friends. This event space can accommodate up to 30 pax seated and possibly 40 pax.

Take a Break VIP Lounge is located at Ipoh Garden, easily accessible through Jalan Tambun and Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah. Parking is available along the street.
