Sprouting Cafes
Cafes seem to be sprouting out in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya faster than you can learn to say supercalifragilisticexpi… uh we don’t even even know how to spell it. OK, we are probably exaggerating but really not by much. So we wanted to come up with a list of Top 5 Cafes in KL to have an event (like a birthday party, a gathering, an alumni get together, etc) in, to make your life easier.
Criteria for our selection
Let’s start with our Top 5 Cafes in KL criterias and how we determined this list. First we wanted a place with easy access and whether it’s convenient to get to. Then we looked at whether parking is available and how expensive is it. Then we looked at the space and it’s suitability to have an event or function. If it’s overly decorated, it may not always be a suitable event venue as it makes it hard to fit people into the space. And we are limiting our selection of Top 5 Cafes in KL to those that operate within a Kuala Lumpur postcode. The list for top 5 cafes in PJ is for another day. Lastly, this is not the be all and end all list as there will probably be new cafes coming up right after we put this up.
The List of Top 5 Cafes in KL to have an Event
No. 5 – Feeka Cafe, Jalan Mesui
Located in the heart of the city, it has convenient access if you are already downtown and the neighbourhood is interestingly chic.
No. 4 – Third Wave Cafe, Bangsar South
What’s not to like about this place? Easy access, easy parking and space enough for even up to 100 people.
No. 3 – Encore Patisserie Cafe
Cozy cafe in a residential neighbourhood.
No. 2 – Grizzly Cafe
Small cafe with easy access at The Intermak. OK, just not during rush hours.
No. 1 – Scoop Cafe, Menara Dion
The classiest cafe in town which has even served as an event venue for Rolex. How not to be No 1?
