The Craftisan

With a name derived from a combination of craft and artisan, The Craftisan is a modern dessert cafe that naturally aspires to deliver high quality handcrafted delights such as homemade desserts and gelato as well as hand brewed coffee. It is the sister cafe of Soul Cafe and is located right above it. Both cafes belong to the same owner and whilst Soul Cafe serves mostly main course, The Craftisan specialises on desserts so that customers can have the best of both worlds under the same roof.

Event Space

Nestled on the upper floor of a heritage shop lot, the ornately decorated exterior belies the bright and modern interior of this casual event space. The Craftisan has white walls with light coloured wood furniture and a long bench clad in grey fabric along the length of its wall. Natural light floods the space to give it a relaxed and airy feel. Although the cafe is located on the first floor, it has a mezzanine level with high tables and wooden high stool seating.

Events

The Craftisan is a modern and relaxed event space with indoor seating. This casual event space is suitable for hosting a birthday party, baby shower, full moon party, anniversary, proposal, engagement party, reunions, farewell party, corporate gatherings as well as get-together with family and friends. The Craftisan can accommodate up to 50 pax, with around 15 pax on the mezzanine level.

Location

The Craftisan is located on the first floor of a two-storey shop lot (above Soul Cafe – a sister cafe) on Jalan Kek Chuan in Georgetown, Penang. Street parking is available in front of the shop lots.
