The Grumpy Cyclist Cafe

The Grumpy Cyclist cafe is one the many hipster cafes to be located in the Taman Tun Dr Ismail area. As it’s name suggests, it caters to cyclists and even provides a shower for cyclists who have just finished a peddling tour of Bukit Kiara to freshen up. Even that wasn’t the case, the Grumpy Cyclist cafe is filled with bicycles, bicycle tools and paraphernalia to at least help you imagine that you were in a bicycle shed or workshop. It is hoped that being around all this equipment will exercise some fat away from your bodies too. We are not sure if that is the owners intention but we certainly wish that could be so.

There are Bicycles Everywhere

The owners of the Grumpy Cyclist Cafe certainly have a quirky sense of design and you see it in sprockets on the floor of the cafe, a bicycle handle on the door, bicycles hanging all over the cafe and a meeting room that’s filled with bicycle maintenance tools. And as you can see from the photographs that they have taken of the Grumpy Cyclist Cafe, they do have a keen eye for the beautiful even in an industrial setting.

Parking

The Grumpy Cyclist Cafe is located at the very busy Taman Tun Dr Ismail, though there’s an open air car park that’s about a 500 metres walk away from the cafe.
