The Working Capitol was first built in 1920s. Keong Saik Road has had a colourful and seedy past, being a red light district in the 1960s. So if you were headed to this area then, you would perhaps have been given a dirty look. In the 1990s, the scene changed and Keong Saik Road saw many boutique hotels sprout up here. As part of the preservation of Singapore’s heritage, the two and three storey art deco shophouses have been designated under the conserved area of Bukit Pasoh. The Working Capitol is part of the growing number of hotels, bistros & cafes that have made this area one of the trendiest spaces in Singapore.

Event Space

The Working Capitol is a multi-faceted place where jobs can be completed; while having fun in the process. They provide a variety of facilities such as private phone booths, a beer garden, shower and changing rooms, professional services(accounting; legal support etc) printing and mailing services etc. With a rustic yet modern look, The Working Capitol’s space is a unique place to work, or host an event. There are meeting rooms, breakout areas, a café, an event room that can host up to 200 people, and even a workshop room. The Working Capitol is also equipped WiFi and the latest AV equipment making it suitable for all sorts of private or corporate events.

The Working Capitol is an 8 minute walk from Outram Park MRT station, a 9 minute walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT station, and an 8 minute walk from Chinatown MRT station. It has 3 public buses that go there. It’s nearest carpark is at Craig Road, a 2 minute walk away from The Working Capitol.
