TOKB Cafe sounds like a strange name for a cafe until you find out what it stands for. It actually stands for Taste of Kota Bahru. So expect TOKB Cafe to serve you some Kelantanese favourites like Nasi Kerabu, Nasi Dagang, Nasi Rocket (Nasi Tumpang), Laksam, and Teh Atom (Teh Tarik Madu). Since this is a cafe, there also western dishes like canapes. It sounds even stranger than Kelantan and World War II are put together as a theme for a cafe. What’s the connection between Kelantan and World War II anyway? Plenty, if you know your Malaysian history. Kelantan was where the Japanese army first landed in what was then Malaya in 1941. Now that the history lesson is done, let’s get to the event space.

Event Space

As a World War II themed cafe, you will be surrounded in TOKB Cafe by a collection of actual military relics. From bikes to trains, (ok no trains) but to model airplanes having an aerial dogfight. The event space at TOKB Cafe has two levels, thanks to its high ceiling, and has a total dining area of 6,000 square feet. This makes it one of the most spacious cafes in Klang Valley.

Events

TOKB Cafe is a suitable event space to host a birthday party, a mini concert, a product launch, a product talk, and they are even game to host wedding dinners here. While the dining area of the cafe can take 100 pax, their remaining space can accommodate up to 300 pax.

Location

TOKB Cafe is located on Jalan 13/2, just a few doors away from the TAR University campus. Parking is available within the building making it easy to host events here. Accessibility to Section 13 is easy through Jalan Universiti and the arterial roads of PJ.
