Ugly Duck Miri is a bistro that serves up home-style Western and Asian comfort food with refreshing cocktails, beers and non-alcoholic beverages in a warm, relaxing event space. Established in 2016, Ugly Duck Miri is a passion project of owner Jason Holton, an Australian expatriate, to serve comfort and class in a fun event space that captures the essence traditional Sarawak and the modern youth culture. Famous dishes here range from Roast Pork Nasi Lemak to Eggs Benedict and also signature cocktails and house liquors. Ugly Duck Miri is a perfect event space to unwind, feast and celebrate with family, friends and colleagues.

Event Space

The event space in Ugly Duck Miri has a warm, earthy, relaxing feel to it with its wooden tables and chairs and brick walls. The interior is decorated in a minimalistic manner with one wall with a mural of peacocks giving the place a touch of artistry. An alfresco seating area with a choice to extend the outdoor seating with tents upon request of the staff at Ugly Duck Miri who are always available to help patrons meet their event needs.

Events

Ugly Duck Miri is a suitable event space for a birthday party, engagement party, dinner/lunch party, class party, corporate party, live show, bachelor/bachelorette party, or any other events of up to 100 pax.

Location

Ugly Duck Miri is a located near the seaside in Marina Phase 1 and also about a 5 minute drive from the Miri Bus Terminal. It can be accessed by taxis and self-driven cars with street side parking available.
