Established in 18 August 2015, located in a charming historic building along Lebuh Melayu, heartland of Georgetown is a new member to the Sekeping Group. Owner of The Shinise, Aby Law enlightened how the event space is a place where you can sit back, relax and enjoy their services as the dishes are heart-made by their chef and cooked from local fresh ingredients. The Shinise serves premium boutique coffee, finest luxury tea, homemade dessert and so much more. They can cater private party with an exclusive live music especially on weekends.

Event Space

The Shinise is designed as a lodging house that seeks to exude the sense of nostalgia and to allow its lodgers to have a taste to stay in one of these pre-war heritage houses in Penang. The setting is uncharacteristically cosy with classic and familiar aspects; such as the grandma’s favourite rattan chairs that provide unexplained level of comfort. The place has no air-conditioners at all, as they are implement a nature-based atmosphere.

Events

The Shinise is a comfortable event space with both indoor and al-fresco seating. This exquisite event space is suitable for hosting a surprise party, birthday party, tea party, gathering, as well as corporate events. It can accommodate up to 50 pax.

Location

Located along Jalan Lebuh Melayu, The Shinise is accessible with bus 401E towards the Jetty, alight at Cyclon Cycle, Lebuh Carnavon. This event space can be seen right opposite to the newly opened Ghost Museum on the same road. Parking spaces are only available on the streets.
