Ipoh which had at one time become almost a sleepy hollow has awakened with a boom. Right in the centre of the movement of making Ipoh cool again is the heart of Ipoh old town, Kong Heng Square. If Orange is the New Black, then old beaten up and weather worn is the new chic. One of the cafes that has been in the forefront of this is Burps and Giggles. Burps and Giggles has a sense of familiarity about it and that’s no wonder because it’s opened by the team that brought Indulgence to Ipoh.

Event Space

Burps and Giggles is one of the many instagram worthy event spaces that have sprouted up in Ipoh. Old paint, old motorcycle, old props – new chic. Burps and Giggles typically does not take reservations but you can plan an event like a birthday party or product launch if you plan in advance. The event space at Burps and Giggles can take up to 40 pax with the back lane serving as an additional space as well for more pax. Having a back lane event here is cool, giving a new meaning to a back alley gathering.

Location

Burps and Giggles is located at Jalan Sultan Yussuf in Ipoh’s Old Town area, so getting here is not a problem. Parking is limited so plan your events carefully. The Kong Heng area is Ipoh’s new hub of chic and trendy.
