Gala House Penang is a quaint restaurant and bar that sit pretty in the beginning of Lebuh Muntri with its sea green facade. A converted colonial shop house, Gala House Penang retains most of its old school charm with mix matched wooden furniture, wooden windows and fixings. There is live music in the evenings to serenade happy hour patrons and diners well into midnight. Must have dishes at Gala House Penang are Kimchi Salmon Spaghetti and Chicken Rendang pasta, but if you are not feeling adventurous, the restaurant also serves western fare and grills. For dessert, Gala House Penang offers a variety of cakes and coffees which includes the famous Jack Daniel Chocolate cake, an indulgent chocolate cake with a kick!

Event Space

Gala House Penang is set much like a kopitiam with an open concept. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the ambiance is very laid back and fuss free.There is more tables upstairs that can be converted into a private space for a more intimate event.

Events

Gala House Penang is suitable for a birthday party, baby shower, full moon party, bridal shower, anniversary dinner and get together with family and friends. It can host up to 80 pax both upstairs and downstairs.

Location

Gala House Penang is in Lebuh Muntri, in the older side of George town that is now a trendy hot spot for cafes and bars. There is parking along the roadside which can be busy during weekends.
