Sub is the word for the water management system for the paddy fields in Bali. Subak Restaurant, was born out of this inspirational tradition of sharing life-giving water to sustain rice terraces in Bali. Subak Restaurant is built on the fringes of the natural virgin jungles of Bukit Lanjan and the owners envision Subak Restaurant as a sanctuary that promises diners a culinary journey of fine food and personalised service.

Event Space

Subak Restaurant aims to emulate the Balinese culture of blending old and new together to come out with something innovative, and you can see this in their rustic decor with functional yet unique furniture and fittings. The soothing sounds of flowing water from the fresh water spring at Subak Restaurant mixed with the natural sounds of the jungle all bring a mood of serenity to your event. Subak Restaurant guests have the option of dining within the restaurant, go al-fresco on the “Alang-Alang” roofed wooden deck overlooking our man-made pond named “Serambi”, or enjoy an intimate rendezvous in the hillside deck aptly named “Loteng”. Whether it’s a dinner party, a gathering of friends, a birthday party or an intimate wedding, this is the event space for a back to the nature event setting.

Location

Subak Restaurant is located in Bukit Lanjan but access to it is not that difficult. Jalan Penchala Indah is actually just off the LDP and easily accessed from Taman Tun Dr Ismail. No long drives to get here.
