Established in 2017, founder of The Kapit’s Cafe, Shafiq Kamaruddin who graduated from SMK Seri Bintang Selatan and soon completed his studies in University Sains Malaysia (USM). He successfully opened a casual yet hipster event space catering mainly to students who are looking for scrumptious food at a reasonable price. The Kapit’s Cafe allow customers to socialize in a comfortable environment and serves savoury dishes ranging from Mediterranian Burger, Rockin’ Beef and Everyday Cheeseday. The price goes as low as RMR3.70 to RM8.50 only. For desserts, they are experts at that genre. They have many different types of cakes at their dessert counter and they also serve unique pastries that comes in different colours and flavours.

Event Space

The Kapit’s Cafe brings out a warm and contented atmosphere with their dimmed lighting, plus the event space has a very clean and simplistic look to it because the walls are painted in black with photos hung on it displaying happy guests. Tables are made of classy wood and suited with red stools. The Kapit’s Cafe also provides delivery service around the USM campus as well as some close-by Penang neighbourhood area.

Events

The Kapit’s Cafe is a simple and homey event space with indoor and al-fresco seating. The event space is suitable especially for hosting a birthday party, tea party, club reunion, school gathering, anniversary dinner, and any small-scale event. It can accommodate events up to 40 pax indoor and 50 pax including outdoor seating.

Location

The Kapit’s Cafe is located along Jalan Gemilang, and easily spotted as they have an interesting logo to capture attention. Public parking spaces are available along the streets and, inside the USM’s campus with permission granted.
