Twenty One Grams Cafe

I am not sure whether they got their name from the story that weight of a soul is twenty one grams but perhaps it’s appropriate given that coffee does add soul and life into some people. Twenty One Grams Cafe joins the list of hipster cafes that are quickly dotting neighbourhoods in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya.

Cafe Decor

Like many of the new hipster cafes, Twenty One Grams Cafe has an industrial theme using pinewood furniture. But what stands apart from the other cafes is the ceiling using wooden pallets, which gives it a very heavy industrial feel. We think it’s a clever use of discarded wooden pallets. Location

Twenty One Grams Cafe is located in PJ New Town which has not exactly been a place that conjures a hip environment as it has primarily been a commercial and administrative area. However, Twenty One Grams Cafe seeks to change that and we welcome that change of scene.

Parking

Parking at Twenty One Grams Cafe may be a bit difficult during work hours but it gets a lot better during the evening or weekends. There’s a municipal car park with lots of parking lots which would make Twenty One Grams Cafe very suitable for casual events like birthday parties, baby showers and even product talks. It’s a street level cafe, so entering the cafe would be easy for people of all ages.
