Established in 2010, founder of Restoran Tupai Tupai, Shasha Amir who graduated from SMK (P) Sri Aman and was inspired by the extraordinary food industry and engulfed in her dream of someday becoming an owner of a business. She successfully established a casual yet rustic event space catering mainly to people who are searching for scrumptious food at a reasonable price. Restoran Tupai Tupai allow customers to socialize in a comfortable environment and serves savoury dishes ranging from Asam Pedas Fish, Spiced Ikan Bakar and Squid Sambal & Begedil. Restoran Tupai Tupai prepares about 50 types of lauk daily for lunch from 11am to 3pm. For dinner, the main highlight is its steamboat buffet from 6pm to 10.45pm where guests can select one or two types of soup base – chicken, regular tom yum or tom yum with coconut juice.

Event Space

Built like a tall, imposing wooden pavilion, the event space’s high ceiling is adorned with several crystal chandeliers and swathes of satiny material that lend a touch of sophistication to its rustic surroundings. Restoran Tupai Tupai brings out a warm and contented atmosphere with their dimmed lighting, plus the event space has a very simplistic outlook to it because the walls are made of well-built bamboo sticks. Tables are made of classy wood covered with a cloth and elegant chairs to seat guests comfortably.

Events

Restoran Tupai Tupai is a simple and homey event space with indoor and al-fresco seating. The event space is suitable especially for hosting a birthday party, tea party, club reunion, school gathering, anniversary lunch or dinner, as well as other social events. It can accommodate events up to 80 pax.

Location

Restoran Tupai Tupai is sited in a spacious clearing of an old, secluded bungalow behind the landmark Dewan Bahasa and Pustaka building, as this event space is possibly one of KL’s best kept secrets. Parking spaces are only available on the streets.
