A unique concept cafe, Drums Cafe JB is a one of a kind event space that is themed after the famous 24 festive drums which is a dramatic art founded in Johor Bahru Malaysia at Foon Yew High School and still played today as a cultural art form. Drums Cafe JB was founded by cultural activists, Mr.Chong Hai Liang and Mr.Lee Sheah Liang. The event space was created by the founders as a space that the drumming community members could gather and socialize. Drums Cafe JB offers its famous Yong Tau Foo and other Chinese cuisine options as well as western cafe food options for events held in this unique festive drums inspired event space.

Event Space

Drums Cafe JB is an event space that pays homage to the culture and art of festive drumming. Its interior is decorated with traditional Cantonese drums and a wall art installation that says ìGuî, which means drum, made from 1500 drum sticks. The ambience of the event space in Drums Cafe JB is that of a relaxing cafe environment blended with a rich heritage feel. Guests can relax in its indoor seating area while reading and learning about the history of this art form originating from Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Drums Cafe JB offers an event space with relaxed cafe environment blended with rich cultural history for events such as a birthday party, a family gathering, lunch/dinner party, office party, engagement party, proposal, anniversary dinner, cultural function or any other small scale event that can accommodate up to 60 pax.

Location

Drums Cafe JB is situated on Jalan Tan Hiok Nee close to the Johor Bahru Chinese Heritage Museum and the Persatuan Hainan Johor Bahru. It can be accessed by self driven cars with street side parking as well as parking lots available.
